Co-creation Workshops
Why co-creation?
The world is changing at an increasing pace and new technologies are taking more and more space in our lives. Technology is bound to have a tremendous impact on our daily lives and change the way we live at home in the future. Yet, the level of trust for the new offerings from the technology sector is much lower than before.
If businesses are to innovate and develop these new technologies while ensuring their acceptance by society, they cannot do this without the trust and engagement of citizens and lead users. That is where co-creation comes in.
Co-creation increases trust and eases the uptake of new technologies by enabling the participation of all actors involved (individuals and/or organisations) and fostering exchange between stakeholders and industry. Through co-creation, people and industry can engage with each other at eye level, often times in a workshop format, interact and exchange their know-how, values and needs. In doing so, co-creation provides new opportunities for innovations and for collaboratively designing new solutions or improving existing solutions in a way that is meaningful, relevant and satisfy both user and industry needs.
LIV_IN labs and Workshops
As a workshop participant you will be able to jointly work on solutions in the areas of smart homes and smart health. You will deal with questions ranging from "How to measure and influence sleep?" in our lab on "Future Homes & Lifestyles" to "How can new digital services enhance the life when growing older?" in our lab on "Lifelong Health & Care". Each lab consists of three to four workshops of half a day to one day. In total, about 20 co-creation workshops will take place in 5 European countries in 2019 and 2020. The co-creation workshops are organized by Siemens, Telefonica, Smart Homes, Atos, Ottobock and DMU.
